Dead Links are dead...
With the OusKe.com redirections, forget about broken links forever...
What is a Redirection?
Simply put, a Redirection is an intermediary between links you specify in your documents and the destination url.
It allows you to leave the links in your documents unchanged and, if necessary, modify the destination url at the redirection site.
Why and when do I need a Redirection?
Let's examine 3 different scenarios:
scenario 1: promotions in multiple eBay auctions
You know that promotions are the best thing to attract customers to your eBay Store.
So you decide to offer, every month (or week), a 50% reduction on a particular item. You'll want to advertise that so you include a link in all your eBay auctions to that particular item.
So far, so good! But what are you going to do when the item you promote changes? Edit all your eBay auctions again to modify the link?
No way! All you have to do is create a redirection link on OusKe.com
You'll be given an url like http://www.ouske.com/redir/?1033 that will never change. Ever! This is the link you'll place in your eBay auctions.
Then you just edit your redirection to link to, for instance, your promo eBay item: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5606368869
When you wish to link to another url or another eBay item, just edit your redirection again and specify another destination link.
Easy as 1,2,3 and just one manipulation to modify the behaviour of potentially thousands of links!
scenario 2: you're writing an eBook!
Whatever you're writing about, you'll probably include links to direct your readers to more information or let them download sample documents or free software.
That's a great idea but if you've ever read an eBook, you know that more than often, a large majority of the links they contain lead to non-existant pages.
To avoid this and publish an eBook that will always be up-to-date and functional, insert redirections instead of actual links.
When any of the destination url's disappears or gets moved, just update it in the OusKe.com redirection interface and all the past, current and future copies of your eBook will be up-to-date again!
scenario 3: you're publishing affiliate links
Affiliation is a great way to make money with minimum efforts.
But sometimes you'd wish it would be possible to leave your website visitors in the ignorance that the links they click are affiliate links.
It's easy with the Redirections!
Turn this: http://www.merchantsite.com/?affiliateID=myself
into this: http://www.ouske.com/redir/?52032
Much better isn't it?
You've just seen 3 examples where a Redirection is almost a MUST HAVE. There are many more!
